I am a development practitioner, writer, and lifelong observer of people, places, and the stories that shape them.
My professional journey has taken me through humanitarian and development operations across Africa and Asia. I have worked in contexts shaped by natural disasters, conflict, and recovery, including some of the world's most remote and underdeveloped places.
My perspective was shaped long before my career.
My motivation for working in development and humanitarian work stems from my experience of growing up and living in war-torn northern Uganda.
For decades, conflict between the Lord's Resistance Army rebels and the government of Uganda caused untold suffering. Communities experienced poverty, loss of livelihoods, and limited access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and water.
Living through these realities shaped how I understand peace, development, public institutions, and the importance of working with communities to find lasting solutions.
I am passionate about leadership, public policy, and governance, and about working with communities to address complex challenges while engaging government and other development actors.
The experiences of growing up in northern Uganda continue to shape how I think about dignity, community, peace, and the common good.

I also write about my professional work and the lessons I have learned from different contexts over the years — experiences that have helped shape my leadership and managerial career.
Most of my stories come on impulse. I draw from ordinary life experiences, childhood memories, cultural observations, and encounters with people.
Through these stories, I explore deeper questions about human behaviour, society, identity, dignity, resilience, and social justice.
